Google Ads // Linking Google Ads, Google Merchant Center & Google Analytics

To begin linking all three platforms you need to make sure you are signed in to the correct Google account that has access to each of them.

Linking Google Ads to Merchant Center

Before beginning, ensure you have your Merchant Center ID. This can be found on the Top Right of the page when you sign into Google Merchant Center.

Sign into your Google Ads account. On the left hand menu select Tools, and then Data Manager. On the following page, select Google Merchant Center

On the following screen, you can select which account to link to. If you have access to both accounts for the Google account which you are signed in with, it will appear under Link to Merchant Center accounts that I manage. If you cannot link via this mean, select Send request to other Merchant Centre account. You then need to enter the Merchant Centre account ID.

Write or Paste your Merchant Center ID and submit the request by clicking Next. Then, navigate to Google Merchant Center. Find Settings and click on Access and services. Then at the top of the following page, select Apps and services

You will see a listing for Google Ads that is awaiting approval. Click on Manage, review the request and select Approve if you are confident it is a request from the correct Google Ads account.

Your accounts will now be linked, and your product listings will begin populating Google Ads. Please note, this can take some time to process.

Linking Google Ads to Google Analytics

Before beginning, ensure you have sufficient permissions in the Google Analytics property that will be linked.

Sign into your Google Ads account. On the left hand menu select Tools, and then Data Manager. On the following page, select Google Analytics

On the following page, click on the text box and find the Google Analytics property that you wish to link to. Click Next

Review the settings and click Link to complete the connection. Your Google Ads and Google Analytics are now linked, allowing you to create Conversion Actions using Analytics data, or import audience segments.
