Your monthly CitrusPay Fee Statement shows your total sales, the fees deducted, and the net amount paid to your bank. The statement is generated from the same CitrusPay transaction data you can see in Back Office.
If you or your accountant would like to match the statement against your CitrusPay Transactions Report, there is one thing to understand first: the Period at the top of your statement relates to the Value Date of each transaction, not the date the sale took place.
Understanding the statement period
Every CitrusPay transaction has a Transaction Date (when the sale was made) and a Value Date (when the payment was settled). The Value Date is usually a few days after the sale.
Your Fee Statement includes every transaction with a Value Date inside the statement period. For example, a sale made on 30 July with a Value Date of 3 August will appear on your August statement, not your July statement.

Matching your statement to the Transactions Report
If you want to match the two, you need to filter the Transactions Report by Value Date so that it covers the same period as your statement.
1) In the Back Office menu, navigate to Payments & Transactions, click CitrusPay Payouts and then click View Transactions.
2) Set the date range to start 5 days before the statement period and end 5 days after it. This makes sure every transaction that settled within the period is included. For example, for an August 2026 statement, set the dates to 27/07/2026 to 05/09/2026.
3) Set the Value Date filter to match the Period on your statement. For August 2026, set this to 01/08/2026 to 31/08/2026:

4) Click Export to download the report, and open it in a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel.
5) Total the following columns and compare them with your statement:
- CitrusPay Amount matches Total sales processed
- Total Fees matches Total fees
- Net Amount matches Net payout to bank
Use the CitrusPay Amount column
Use the 'CitrusPay Amount' column for your sales total. The 'Transaction Total' and 'Tendered Amount' columns show 0 for Ecommerce and Payment Link transactions, so they will not match your statement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my report include sales from the previous month?
Sales made in the last few days of a month often settle in the following month. Because the statement is based on the 'Value Date', these sales belong to the following month's statement. This is expected.
How are refunds shown?
Refunds appear in the report as negative amounts with no fees. They reduce your total sales and net payout, and they are included in the number of transactions on your statement.
Why don't my fixed and variable fees add up to my total fees?
Payment Link fees are shown as a single total. They are not split into fixed and variable fees, so the 'Fixed Fee' and 'Variable Fee' columns show 0 for Payment Link transactions. The difference between the two columns added together and your 'Total fees' figure is your Payment Link fees.
Is VAT charged on my CitrusPay fees?
No. Payment processing and transaction fees are VAT exempt, so the 'VAT' line on your statement shows 0. Your statement is also a VAT invoice, so keep it for your records and pass it to your accountant.
