Using the Calendar widget is quite straightforward, but there are some handy hints that we can share to help speed up your usage.
Note : In the example below, screenshots are taken from the Calendar widget found on the Customer Record in Cloud POS Back Office, but the usage is the same wherever you find a Calendar widget within the platform.
Basic Use of the Calendar Widget
Clicking in the date field or on the small calendar icon will reveal the Calendar widget. Click on the appropriate day in the calendar to set the date. The selected date will be circled in lime green, as below:

The arrows in the top right allow you to quickly move forward and backwards in the calendar by a month.
However, you may need to skip back a number of years at a time when setting birthdays, for example. In this instance, clicking on the month and year at the top of the widget will open a smaller panel displaying the 12 months of a year.

You can switch to the next or previous year using the arrow icons in this smaller panel. Or if you need to go back a few years, click on the Year at the top to get a range of years to choose from:

Click on the relevant month and year, then click the date that you require and this will set the full date. The calendar widget will close – if prompted to, click on Save Pending Change in the bottom right of the screen.
Direct Type into the Calendar field
You can type the specific date you require directly into the text field associated with the calendar widget. If you're based in the UK, Europe, Australia or NZ, use the date format of DD/MM/YYYY (eg : 30/01/1979). If you're based in the US or Canada, use the date format of MM/DD/YYYY.(eg: 01/30/1979).
