What Information Does Cloud POS Send to Mailchimp?

The Citrus-Lime integration with Mailchimp uploads your full e-commerce product catalogue, allowing you to feature products in a variety of campaigns.

All CloudPOS sales are uploaded to Mailchimp and linked to the corresponding subscriber. For a sale to be recorded in Mailchimp, the product must be active on the website. This data can then be used in Mailchimp automation workflows.

What Product Data does CloudPOS send to Mailchimp?

    • Product name
    • Product code
    • Product URL
    • Main image URL
    • Quantity in stock (overall quantity for matrix items)
    • Price (or sale price, if the item is discounted)
    • Brand
    • Product group

To keep your data accurate, the integration checks for product updates and refreshes the information in Mailchimp when needed. Any changes made to product data, such as price updates or new images, will be automatically synchronised. Uploading of new and updated product data takes place every 24 hours.

    Customer Rewards & Basket Abandonment

Customer Rewards balances are uploaded to Mailchimp. However, this functionality can occasionally be unreliable due to rate limiting within the Mailchimp API.

We support basket abandonment emails by uploading abandoned baskets to Mailchimp. If a customer completes their purchase through the e-commerce site, the associated basket is automatically cancelled to avoid duplicate messaging.

Note: For retailers running multiple e-commerce sites from a single database, only product data from Store 1 will be uploaded. Mailchimp does not allow duplicate product IDs linked to different URLs.
