Over time, you'll probably find that you build up a large number of inactive item listings in Cloud MT, as stock sells or becomes out of season. So we've added an Archive feature, which will let you hide any items that you no longer sell.
You can use the new Archive Items Wizard to archive items in bulk, or you can archive an item directly from the item card.
Using the Archive Items Wizard
You can archive (or unarchive!) multiple items at once using the Archive Items Wizard in Cloud MT.
- From the side menu in Cloud MT, expand Wizards, then click on Bulk Wizards. Then choose the Archive Items Wizard:

- Choose the items you want to archive – for example, you could search for all items from a previous season, and tick all the items that apply:

- Then click on Set Selection.
- Tick the Archive tickbox and decide if you want the wizard to archive items that have local stock – if you leave the Ignore Stock box unticked, it will not archive any of the selected items that have local stock. If you want it to archive all of the items you've selected, regardless of their stock level, tick the Ignore Stock box.

- Once you're happy, click Apply Settings.
You'll see a confirmation that looks a bit like this:

N.B. where it says “This action cannot be undone”, it means that there is no Undo button to immediately revert these changes. You can create another wizard to unarchive items in bulk, or you can unarchive items individually.
- If you're happy to go ahead, click on Ok.
Archiving an Item from the Item Card
To archive an item from the item card, you can simply tick the Archived tickbox near the top of the Item Essentials section.

It will ask you to confirm that you definitely want to archive this item – click Confirm and then Save Changes at the top of the page. However, if the item hasn't been fully created e.g. it's missing the Google Category or another required field, you won't be able to save the changes to the item. So in most cases, we recommend using the Archive Items Wizard (see above).
Archiving vs making an item Inactive
Archiving an item will automatically make it Inactive in Cloud MT (if it isn't inactive already), meaning the listing won't be visible on the front end of your site. Therefore you may not wish to do this if an item has local stock available – a warning will pop up like this to let you know, however you can override it by clicking on Confirm:

Unarchiving an item
You can see a list of all your archived items by expanding Reports & Lists in the side menu and choosing Archived Items.

You'll see a page like this – click on the green Unarchive button on the right to unarchive any items that might have ended up there by mistake.

You can also use the Archive Items Wizard to unarchive items in bulk – follow the same steps as above, but make sure that the Archive tickbox is unticked in step 4.
By default, any items that have been Unarchived will be inactive – you'll need to make them active if you want to list them on your website again.
