    Cloud POS // What's in the May 2025 release?

    We are updating Cloud POS. Here are the details of what is included in this release:


    Back Office 2.0

    We’ve been working hard on overhauling the Back Office user interface to make it faster, more intuitive, and highly responsive. We’re excited to announce that development is now code complete. Final-stage testing is currently underway, with beta testing scheduled to begin shortly after the May release. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

    In the meantime, users will continue using Back Office 1.0, with access to Back Office 2.0 available following initial testing.


    Workshop Tag Improved *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    We’ve redesigned the Workshop Tag layout to display key information at the top of the page, making it quicker and easier to read, especially in a folder-style view. 


    Supplier Notes Enhanced and Now Visible Within Purchase Orders  *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    We've expanded the Supplier Notes input field and increased the maximum character limit. Supplier Notes are now also visible directly within the Purchase Order when viewing supplier details, making it easier to access key information at a glance.

     


    Back Office General

    Improvements 

    • Increased frequency of the background task that sets sale start and end times, improving support for multiple time zones.
    • Added a State field to the Customer grids for US, Canada and Australian Groups. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Bug Fixes 

    • Matrix attribute ordering is now correctly sent to Ecommerce, ensuring the product page reflects the attribute priority set in the Back Office.
    • The error message shown has been improved when attempting to add an existing Matrix child item to a Matrix. 
    • The Linked to SIM value in Item Detail Wizard imports will no longer default to false when not provided. 

    Purchase Orders

    Improvements

    • Improved scaling of the Customer Orders view in Purchase Orders for smaller screens.
    • SIM Search on Purchase Orders is no longer restricted by supplier for the US, where it is common for multiple suppliers to supply the same item. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

    Bug Fixes

    • Shipping tax is now correctly calculated for shipping values exceeding 999.99.

    POS

    Improvements 

    • The created date of an order is now updated when converting from a quote, supporting more accurate sales reporting and workflow prioritisation. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Serviced Item details will now always appear in the Recall Orders grid for cycle retailers. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • Improved handling of dropped internet connections, with clearer messaging and reconnection feedback.
    • We have added an Extra Funds field to the change calculator, ideal for entering known cash totals (e.g., coin bags or rolls).
    • Return reason codes are now listed in alphanumeric order. *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*
    • New quick options allow auto-filling of the customer's email address.

    Bug Fixes 

    • Fixed a rounding issue that could prevent the total outstanding deposit from being set using the Manage Deposit view.

    • Matrix parent items are prevented from being created with the same code as child items.
