eCommerce //What's in the July 2025 Update

We are updating Cloud MT, eCommerce, and the Checkout. Here are the details of what to expect in this release:

    Cloud MT

    New Features

Ability to Archive Products *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

Retailers can now archive legacy or discontinued products, providing a cleaner, more structured way to manage catalogue changes. Previously, discontinued items were marked as inactive, leading to cluttered views and ambiguity. The new "Archived" state makes product status clear and simplifies catalogue management. Key new features include:

    • Archive products from the product page or via the bulk wizard.
    • Archived items are hidden from standard views.
    • Access all archived products from a dedicated list page.

404 Page Customisation Now Available in Cloud MT *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

Merchants can now fully manage their own 404 error pages within Cloud MT, giving them greater control over the user experience even when things go wrong. This new feature ensures error pages can reflect the merchant’s brand through custom messaging, imagery, and helpful navigation—all wrapped in a consistent site layout. Beyond enhancing trust and professionalism, branded 404s help reduce bounce rates, improve SEO performance, and offer insights through analytics, turning potential drop-off points into opportunities for user engagement.

Redirect Management Now Available in Cloud MT   *Requested by users via our Feedback Forum*

We’ve introduced a powerful new Redirect Manager tools in Cloud MT, giving merchants full control over how deactivated product pages and custom URLs are handled. This includes options to serve a 404 error, redirect to a Find & Filter page, continue serving the existing page, or specify a custom 301 redirect with built-in URL validation. Alongside this, a new Product Redirect Viewer provides an easy way to manage redirects for previously active products. These tools not only support SEO best practices but also help maintain a smooth user experience and site integrity by preventing broken links and preserving search engine rankings.
