Cloud POS Workshop allows you to assign workshop jobs to specific mechanics in your team, if you choose to do so. For example, if one team member has a particular specialism that would make them better suited to complete the job.
However, before you can do this, you first need to have created the Mechanics within the Back Office.
Creating Mechanics in the Back Office
1) From the Back Office side menu, expand the Workshop heading, then click Mechanics:

2) The Mechanics section will open and you'll see a table containing a list of any Mechanics you may already have set up. Click on the blue New button start setting up a new mechanic.

3) Enter the details of the Mechanic you wish to create, being careful to select the correct Store from the provided drop-down list (indicating in which store this particular Mechanic is based), and click Save to save the information:

The Email Address and Phone Number stored with a Mechanic are not customer-facing, so you can confidently enter contact details for the individuals themselves. Alternatively, you can use the General Email Address and Phone Number relative to the store which the new Mechanic Role has been assigned.
4) When you open a Workshop job in the Workshop Module, you will now be able to assign that new Mechanic to a job.

5) If you would like to change the initials for a mechanic, or assign them a particular colour on a job card, you can do that by editing a mechanic after they've been created. Click on the blue Edit icon:

6) Click on the initials in a circle to the left of the Mechanic's name:

7) Here, you can pick any colour and edit the initials:

8) Click on Save, and you'll then see those initials and your chosen colour in the Cloud POS Workshop.
